My mistake. You are right. But since the IP address is the same, no harm
done.
(Note that SMTP allows fallback to A record in case of nonexistent MX

Seems like the new avatar of the list server requires the HELO name to be
resolvable. Why don't you relay your list emails via MTNL's (or Gmail's,
easier to setup I guess) servers?
