Hi,
we'll be holding our yearly CDT Summit at EclipseCon on Monday March 7th,
2016. As usual we overlap a lot with Linux Tools and are interested in topics
of that community. I already know of a couple of Linux Tools contributors that
should attend and we hope more of you will join us. Ther

It works! The CDT builds are running again.
Thanks for the quick response and clear explanation!

Hi,
The CDT builds are failing since yesterday. And if someone refreshes their
target file in their Eclipse, it will also fail.
It is due to a missing dependency to some org.bouncycastle package (see error
below) that is needed by the Docker plugins of Linux Tools.

Hi all,
EclipseCon and the CDT/PTP/Linux Tools/Trace Compass Summit are just over a
month away. It would be good to have a clearer agenda for the Summit, but that
requires to know who will be taking part.
Those that believe they will be able to attend, please add your name here:

Hi guys,
I'm getting inspired by how you handle p2 mirrors in
o.e.linuxtools.releng-site/promoter.xml.
I see that you set the mirrors to a property called which is
set to "updates-nightly".
What I don't understand is where do you change that for a release build so that
it becomes "updates-3.1

Also, I don't think that preferences should be labeled by project name.
Users should not need to know that some preferences are from the Linux Tools
project
or from the CDT project.
Therefore I think things like Gcov, and other C/C++ preferences provided by
Linux Tools
should go under C/C++, but
Hi,
we got a report that the latest Gcov and Gprof features on the Juno update site
cannot be installed on 3.8.2. From what we can see, the o.e.lt.gcov.launch
plugin, which was recently added to the gcov feature, has dependencies on
org.eclipse.ui version 3.103. It seems like this 3.103 versi
Hi,
I'm not sure if this is relevant but I thought I'd mention it.
There is a Pin&Clone feature proposed for Platform Debug.
The bug is old, but there is a big push for it now and
it may make it into Kepler.

Hi,
I'm trying to compile some of the Linux Tools plugins and I'm getting
three errors in the SystemTap plugins because it uses String.isEmpty()
(added in Java 6), when the plugin specifies a minimum java environment
of Java 5.
Furthermore, the JDT preference set in the plugin's

Hi,
there has been a lot of interest on using Linux Tools towards a
remote target. I haven't followed the discussions in all their
details so I'm not sure if the following has been mentioned before.
It was brought to my attention that the very recent release of
Valgrind has some remote support

Hi all,
As many others, we are interested in running Valgrind
and other Linuxtools tools remotely on our target.
However, until that is possible, we hoped to simply
use Eclipse/Linuxtools as a way to visualize the
Valgrind log we collected on our target.
Looking through the doc and trying it out,
Hi,
I was looking at the nice documentation available
on the LinuxTools project and I noticed a small typo
on the GCov page, where it mentions 'Gprof' by mistake.
At http://www.eclipse.org/linuxtools/projectPages/gcov/
under section "Help and screenshots", the text reads
