There's another layer of NAT as the modem does NAT- here in NZ it's PPoA so pfSense can't connect if the modem is in bridge mode. Consequently, pfSense wouldn't even see it's WAN IP change Time to change/reconfigure the router. It should be configured in PPP half bridge mode, which will

Hi, sorry to be dense, but not sure how to tell you what the states look like. Last time it happened filtering States on the LAN ip of the SIP box returned no entries. If I do the same thing when it's functioning: a page-ful of entries- do you want specifics? Maybe it is because it's using NAT
