I could set it up to use a second network card and plug it directly into the modem to use another ip of our public range. I would have to try this on a weekend, also i would have to check if all the functions are still working we have set up... To me it seems as this is the only possible solution too... Now I have upgraded to 2.0.2 and this problem seems to be gone. FWIW, that's how we configure most of our Asterisk boxes with pfSense and we have not encountered the issue you mentioned.
