I've got a well-used (but new to me) Dell Optiplex SX280 here.
I've loaded Kubuntu 6.10 on it, and run apt-get ... to upgrade the
packages to 'as good as it gets'.
I can't get X11 to run any bigger than 1600x1200, though I have a
Dell 2405FPW attached via DVI.

One of our teachers, Derek Esibill, is trying to get his floppy drive
to work on his LTSP server. Any ideas why it suddenly would not work? It is a
standard type of fd, not USB.
Also, can anyone recommend a video card for his server? He is looking for a
higher-end card,

Is the floppy light coming on when trying to mount or format the floppy?
