No, I want to say that now the behavior is normal (my screen doesn't
lock, with or without screensaver), excepted when my pc set in sleep
mode : after sleep, my screen is locked. And I would want that my screen
never locks. Do you understand ? I'm really sorry for my bad English...

Are you saying that you disabled the screensaver and your screen is
locked after some period of time?

If that is what you mean then No, it doesn't happen with me.

Sometimes, thinking about the simplest step/solution could be
helpful.
Please, try to check that option Lock Screen After from
xscreensaver main window and wait until the screensaver starts.
After that, move your mouse or press any key and type your
password, to go screensaver and uncheck Lock Screen After
option. Let's see what could happen.

As for the two processes, I was just mentioning what I do have
and that could be irreverent in your case.
I think it's a bug but maybe I'm wrong.

Hello Pierre,

I'm glad to know that. Please let me know if the same issue
will be back again.

As for the Screensaver, while I was checking, I found weird

There are two Processes of xscreensaver and both of them are
working so when you stop it and go to your desktop, the
other one will work and take you back to the screensaver so
you need to stop it once more. However, Lock Screen in my
case works ONLY when I force it. I unchecked that option
from xscreensaver :

http://i39.tinypic.com/6nr2c1.jpg

In my case, Lock Screen After is unchecked and I have no
issues even with the two processes of xscreensaver.

Not really sure how to fix your issue?

Did you manage to fix it?

Thanks!

but that's me :)

Have you checked this:

2011-11-30 Thread Martin Olesen
Sorry, but I can't join the chat meeting tonight. This is not lack of
interest, I simply have other arrangements.
I have talked to Rafael, and we will begin building a mock up
together. You people will of course get to see the steps, as we
proceed.

Thanks everybody for the comments and ideas! Please keep them coming
in one place or the other; if you want to be anonymous that's fine
with me. I won't force people to register.
The present web site seems to be built by, from and to the inner core
of Lubuntu developers and advanced users. I'm trying to get people
from outside to comment as well. We should not make it difficult for
outside people to state their opinion by demanding that they register.
On the web people only register if they trust that they receive a
well-defined and immediate benefit - and even if that is the case,
still many won't register at all, even if it is free. This is a major
problem for a lot of serious, well-behaving web sites (and the problem
is increasing, by the way).
We must adapt to people's habits, not the other way around -
especially since THEY are doing US a favour.
Well, enough of that. Talk to you all later!

Best regardsMörgæs

Why do you need a graphical tool? If you set it in /etc/environment it
will apply to all users, rather than just the one you set it up for in the
 GUI tool.

 LUBUNTU 10.10 RELEASED
--

Taipei/Berlin/Paris, Oct. 10, 2010: Following intensive development Julien
Lavergne, developement lead of lubuntu, announced version 10.10 of the
lightweight desktop on October 10, 2010. lubuntu is a faster, more
lightweight and energy saving Ubuntu variant using LXDE, the Lightweight X11
Desktop Environment. It includes a special selection of light applications
combining easy usability and performance.
lubuntu is targeted at normal PC users running on low-spec hardware.
Improvements of the latest lubuntu version include autologin support in
ubiquity, support of install only mode in ubiquity, support for
lubuntu-restricted package in ubiquity. lubuntu 10.10 comes with a completely
new theme by Rafael Laguna. Lxpanel now supports Ubuntu indicators applets.
Added applications and tools are Update-notifier, to get notification for
available updates, Xpad, to create quick notes and Ace-of-penguins, to
provide some games. Parcellite, which is not maintained upstream, was removed
and Pyneighborhood was replaced by gvfs support of pcmanfm. LXtask replaces
Xfce4-taskmanager for tasks monitoring. Evince is now used for reading PDF.

Sometimes, thinking about the simplest step/solution
could be helpful.
Please, try to check that option Lock Screen After
from xscreensaver main window and wait until the
screensaver starts. After that, move your mouse or
press any key and type your password, to go screensaver
and uncheck Lock Screen After option. Let's see what
could happen.

As for the two processes, I was just mentioning what I
do have and that could be irreverent in your case.
I think it's a bug but maybe I'm wrong.

Hello Pierre,

As for the Screensaver, while I was checking, I
found weird thing:

There are two Processes of xscreensaver and both
of them are working so when you stop it and go to
your desktop, the other one will work and take you
back to the screensaver so you need to stop it
once more. However, Lock Screen in my case works
ONLY when I force it. I unchecked that option from
xscreensaver :

In my case, Lock Screen After is unchecked and I
have no issues even with the two processes of

Not really sure how to fix your issue?

Did you manage to fix it?

Thanks!

[Lubuntu-desktop] Ubuntu one - A suggestion.

2011-11-30 Thread Yorvyk
A suggestion from Peter.

Does anyone know what the plans are for Ubuntu One and Lubuntu? I would like
to see a client that can sync only when executed for Lubuntu.

Seems like a good idea to me but, not sure how hard it would be it implement.
Thoughts.

Not sure about implementation but I agree 100%. I think Ubuntu One is much
better than other options (Dropbox) but without integration like on GNOME some
of it's benefit is missing.
