Got 10.10 installed and running and noticed that the 32 PAE kernel is installed
as default. Is this an Ubuntu thing or waht?

Right clicking and emptying trash does not work though.

make it a pleasant experience.
I’ve run VB on Lubuntu with Lubuntu in VB on a 2.4GHz P4 with 1GiB of RAM and
it was slower than running Lubuntu on an old 266MHz machine, very jerky and
stuttering.

This would appear to be one particular machine as other machines have ejected
with a swap partition. On the later
machine the Ubuntu beta works but not on the former. I haven’t been able to
make much sense of it. I have tried other LXDE based distros such as
OpenSUSE, Fedora and Mandriva ,and they exhibit similar erratic behavour.

Just the version in the bottom corner is probably the easiest, non-confusing
option. x86 is meaningless to a very large number of people and a lot of
people don’t regard laptops as PCs, only tower type systems.

Probably due to changes in memory management in the kernel. Unless it has a
detrimental effect I wouldn’t worry about it. In fact it may be helping the
battery as the more 'stuff' in memory means less disk access.

I’ve not had this problem, all the other (Linux) OS have been picked up by
GRUB. But, if others are, then the cure should be in the Wiki. Personally, I
don’t regard OMG Ubuntu as a reliable source.

directory or sshfs resource, but it happen in local fs.
Which version of Lubuntu and PCManFm as I’ve no problems with lubuntu 10,04 and
10.10 using PCManFM 0.97 and 0.98,
