I would like to install Lubuntu 18.04 on an external Solid State Drive.
This works well, but I would like to encrypt the drive as well. When
installing from an USB stick with the live version, at certain point I have
to choose:
- Erase disk and install Ubuntu
- Encrypt the new
Thanks Aere, that works, but I've always used the Gnome Disks app, and it's
always worked for me in the past on other distros though. I can't remember if
I've ever used it in Lubuntu though. It seems to me that it ought to work here

Thanks for the quick answer.
Do I need to remove other internal drives physically, or is it sufficient
to disable them in the BIOS in some way?

Good question :-)
It is enough to disable them in the BIOS (which is possible in several
systems).
