Serenata's [sic] for the Guittar' from the late 1750s and it has the additional title, 'St Mary Overves Bells'. I can't find anything to explain the word 'overves'. Presumably it is a reference to the church of St. Mary Overie which is actually now the same as Southwark Cathedral which is

Presumably it is a reference to the church of St. Mary Overie which is actually now the same as Southwark Cathedral which is dedicated to St. Saviour and St. Mary Overie. She was the daughter of John Overs who ran a lucrative business ferrying people accros the Thames in the 10th century..
