Playing your lute degrades the strings. Turning on your CD
degrades the components.
A good conical diamond wears the record less, so long as you change
it regularly,
and the sound is so much better from LP than from CD. The transfer to

Hello Timo
That is from Finland to France, not from France to Finland.
France seems to be the only European country making these charges.
I have no idea why this is.
Best wishes

Oh and it is just not possible to transfer by computer from France to

Again, I don't know why. France had a Visa service that was far

I heartily agree with David. that a well tweaked LP system

However, if DVD and SACD fair better, I still feel LP can be as good,

Hi anthony,
that's strange. For payments made within the Europe Union banks are not
allowed to charge for bank transfers. Just a quick search:

Many thanks for this information which, to serious recorded-music

Make sure all your pieces are fitting together. You need to a) rip music off
vinyl, b) save it in a format that you will be able to burn on CDs, c)
actually burn it.
Point a) if you use your USB turntable, you will need some following

There's a lot of guitar transcriptions out there, if guitar staff is OK. If
you need grand staff, a couple that come immediately to mind are the
Kanazawa Holborne, and the Ness Francesco volumes (I think Arthur included a
grand staff version with that edition, but I don't have a copy myself).
Robert Lumsden's old anthology of Elizabethan lute music is first
rate- double-staff keyboard transcription, at pitch for a G lute.
There was/is a sort of companion volume, the Varietie, also
transcribed the same way. Let me know if you can't find it. -Dan

Hi, all,
I just checked, and yes, Mr. Ness's old Francesco edition does have grand
staff, as do all of the old Corpus des Luthistes Francais volumes from Centre
National de la Recherche Scientifique. (Ballard 12, Bocquet, Morlaye, etc.)
Good luck, Guy!
Best to all, and keep playing,
Chris.
But of course the problem with these editions is that the staff is interlinear
with perfectly serviceable modern tablature. Notice that I had to go check.

They are not dedicated to lute- they simply make BY FAR the
strongest, most durable treble strings I have ever used - in my case,

If you'd like to walk w/ single line music before running w/ full

wish for and often on tunes you know by heart.

I am most curious about these trebles. Apparently they are made in Italy,
