Hi,
the newest LyX-1.4.4 incorporates the newest "european.kmap".
It does not, however, incorporate two patches which make it really usable.

Hi,
this is an "update report" to my previous mail.
I've started to use the newest LyX-1.4.4/Linux/i686/qt-3.1.2 ...
In the new LyX version, a serious problem has been introduced.
It concerns TeX sequences in form "\ACCENT{\i}" and "\ACCENT{\j}", where
the ACCENT is, for example, one of "'`=~^."

Hi,
I've decided to ask this question ...
I use LyX-1.4.3/gcc_3.2.3/libforms_1.0.90/linux_x86.
In my lyx file, I have a picture float with a caption.
When I try to "select" a piece of text in this caption with a mouse, the

Hi,
your "trivial patch" seems to work.
Each "optional text" is changed into an "opt-ERT" by tex2lyx (in original

A small add-on to my previous mail.
I just checked the Python - current sources ( version 1.5 ) is 2.9MB long

Python is a very nice language, but ... does one really need it's power ?
A quick look shows - it's source is 2.2MB gziped ( LyX 1.0 is 1.9MB
gziped ). Moreover, it's constantly beeing enhanced ...
One also needs to write a glue code between LyX's C/C++ code and

ivy language itself.
I have found ivy while I was looking for a small and simple extention

Hi,
If you are looking for an embeddable byte-code compiled/interpreted
language which is useful as both an extension and a command language which
syntax is designed to be easy to learn and to be fairly good looking then
the best I have found ( expecially for dumb users ) is IVY (version 2).

Hi,
I would again like to mention a nice embedable C/C++ interpreter called

What about a C/C++ interpreter as a scripting engine ?

No chance I can use rcs/cvs.

Hi,
In order to get it compiled on AIX 4.1 I need to modify :

otherwise I get :
