A user upgraded to Ubuntu 15.04 and LyX would not export (greyed out).
Removing the LyX user directory solved the problem. Reconfigure did

Another issue is that if LyX needs more than one run to compile a .tex
file, and there is an error in the first run, it will stop there.
Should it continue if we are going to show the PDF? Or stop there so

Exporting Math.lyx from the command line gives me a SIGSEGV (I can
