Currently the build fails to find a proper python:
configuring LyX version 2.4.0dev
checking for build type... release
checking for version suffix... -[2.4
checking whether Qt5 is disabled... no
checking build system type... x86_64-apple-
Hi JMarc,

I’ve tried to paste the snippet into the TocWidget.cpp …
I had to change the TocWidget.h too, then it compiles.
But I cannot see the improvement in behavior. I’m on master.

Hi all,
I’ve a problem in LyX master with reverse search I don’t have in 2.3.x.
Unfortunately I cannot see the difference in LyX code causing it.
The situation is: on Mac the directory /var is an symlink to private/var.
So the temporary files are with real path below /private/var/. The SyncTex

Hi all,
while trying to understand how temp directory management works
I’ve stumbled over the „lyx_tmpdir“ string constant use.
1. This magic name should be coded in filetools only.
For this I didn’t prepare a patch.
BTW: is the code in lyxSockets() of lyxclient ok?
There is a check for "lyx_tmp

Hi all,
this is the next step in evaluating the code analyzing results.
There are some potential null pointer problems found.
Because I’m not able to preclude unwanted or side effects I present
two patches here. Any comments or ok to apply?

Hi all,
this is the next step in evaluating the code analyzing results.
There are some problems found with useless assignments and one
uninitialized variable.
Any comments or ok to apply?
Or is there some flaw in logic and the improvement not straightforward?

Hi all,
because of a change in behavior of Qt on Mac we have to make the
buffer lookup for a given temporary file more robust.
The root cause of this is the fact that on Mac temporary files
are reachable by more then one file name because of directory
/var being a symbolic link to /private/var. S

Hi all,
the last one of the potential memory leaks is a little bit trickier.
The loop logic for subcatItem if cats contains catsave doesn’t guarantee
a match so a check for the match is needed after all.
This makes me unsure what should be done in this case.
Ignore it or warn about it or try som
Hi,
while working with SyncTeX I came to the conclusion a standard
key binding for "Navigate > Forward Search" would be very useful.
I’d like to propose:
\bind "C-S-F" "forward-search“
The question is: is this non-controversial and can go to cua.bind?
Otherwise I’d like to put it in mac.bind…

Hi pythonists,
I’m trying to make ready for code signing on Mac.
The idea of code signing is to ship the package with a digital
signature to guarantee the integrity of the software.
