I am running LyX 1.1.5 on Red Hat 6.2
I am trying to include a figure, which I saved in XFIG as two files: the
postscript, and the text part. According to the manual I only need to
import the text file as (INSERT-INCLUDE FILE with the "use as include

I generate PDFs by exporting my LyX documents as LaTeX, then running
texi2pdf -c -p -l latex filename.tex
After a while, I built a little shell script to act as a wrapper for

Well,
I still don't have a viewable pdf file on my Mandrake
7 box with texi2pdf. Like ps2pdf it comes out wit
nothing but the lines from the tables and footnotes.
Seems something to do with the fonts perhaps... it ran
with only the complaint that I had eps files, and I
can run eps2png to fix

You could also use a normal star-section( Section* - LaTeX:
\section*{Vorwort}) instead of an abstract (LaTeX: \abstract{}),
because the context of an abstract normally is substantially
different from the contents of a preface (German "Vorwort") and
abstracts normally are typesetted
