Hi, after updating from KDE-3.1.4 to KDE-3.3.2 (SuSE-8.2) and recompiling LyX-1.3.5-qt, (and reconfigure), most math-symbols on the LyX-screen are replaced by text. The latex-xft-fonts are installed and worked Ok with LyX-1.3.5-qt before the update. Now I looked for the latex-ttf-fonts on ftp://f

On MacOSX, the Control modifier has been mapped to the "Apple key", and the Meta modifier to the "Alt key". I guess this is nice for old MacOS timers. But I am using the emacs binding and the fact that the control or escape changed place on the keyboard makes it almost a new set of binding to learn

After much fiddling I have found the problem. Lyx doesnt like the GnuWin32\bin files to have a path that includes spaces. I should have realised this before. With the tools in c:\GnuWin32\bin it works very well. Thank you to all those who had helpful suggestions. Geoff
