This will be the last prerelease before the 1.4.0 proper is released. Unless critical problems is discovered this will become 1.4.0 in a reasonable short time. Help to make sure that pre6 does not contain any brown-paperbag bugs will be appreciated. You can get pre6 from:

Hi All, How can I preserve the ongoing numbering of the Enumerate environment across subsections? I am writing a tutorial, which is a step-by-step guide through some functions of some software. Since the sequence of actions is of some importance, the Enumerate environment is perfect here.
