That works, but you get red and green boxes around the things that are linked... is it possible to turn those off and have the hyperrefs in "stealth" mode? I don't know what stealth mode is. But you may use this in your preamble to get a PDF with black links and no borders: \usepackage{ifpdf}

Hi, using version 1.5.4 on windows XP. I remember for a few months when I first installed Lyx there was a toolbar with icons that exported pdf, ps etc. But its disappeared and I see nowhere to get it back again. I presume it is a config file somewhere? Thanks, Ben Blamey

I am not sure it still neded, but if you try MikTeX 2.7 in the middle February, then it has giant troubles with poor packages in repository - it does not work at all. I had same problems. All resolved after update from corrected repositories. There was an announcement on MikTeX web page. Manveru
