The bib (and ERT above it) is in the standard environment. I just did
a quick test adding text at the bottom

Besides this minor problem I am loving the features
Just a short note to those on the LyX list with whom I have
corresponded.
I live in Houston, and have come through hurricane Ike practically
unscathed. We lost electric power on Friday night when the center of
hurricane was still 200 miles away. The eye of the storm passed about
40 miles east
I have a large Nota Bene word processor file which was edited by a
friend (not sure with what program, but not Nota Bene). I exported this
file from Nota Bene as a utf-8 text file, then imported it into Lyx as a
Plain Text file, and edited it using Lyx. No problems up to this point.
