Hi List, I just found out that Lyx can also be used to create presentations. It'd be nice if a presentation could link to external audio or video material so I was searching and came across the Hyperlink function. I tried to call a simple text file from C:\file.txt but got the following error:

I recently installled LyX 1.6.1 from sources (on a Kubuntu 8.10/KDE 4.2 beta machine) and I seem to have lost all access to the English Thesaurus. It is no longer present in the drop-down Tools menu, nor in the right-click pop-up list. Is there some special package I need to install either

You can put your own layouts where you wish. The obvious place, though, is .lyx/layouts/, since the main LyX directory can be overwritten on updates, etc. But then I have to edit the already existing article.layout to include mystuff.inc :-( Note that in 1.6.x you can turn your mystuff.inc
