Dear LyX users,
I am using LyX through a VNC display. Everything works fine, except that
fonts in LyX display in a very low resolution. Trying to modify the font
settings (fixed or scalable, screen DPI) in lyxrc did not change a thing.

remotely access LyX on a Linux box on the same local network?

I have found that using a Windows based X-server and running LyX
remotely works better from a performance perspective but VNC is a
cheaper and more stable approach (no crashes).
I too have had difficulties getting
-server to
remotely access LyX on a Linux box on the same local network?

I too have had difficulties
I was trying to use VNC (www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/) along with LyX so I can run LyX
from my win95 pc. When I try to start up LyX I get the following error:
In flvisual.c[217] Can't find an appropriate visual.
Has anyone out there tried this combination? Will LyX and VNC work together
