Could you please tell what document class you are using. In book this is
exactly the case: Chapter 1.
(Document settings can be seen by view-source-complete source; there is
something like
\documentclass[oneside,english]{book}
where book is the style.)
I assume that your class
ops.. it's true.. in fact I didn't notice that it appears also in the guide!!
I was using book (KOMA script), anyway now it's resolved, thank you very much
