theorem, proof, lemma and etc. Some of them are also supported by the
default lyx layout (I'm using lyx 2.0), and some, notably the lemma, aren't
supported.

im working with Lyx 2.1beta1 from 3. Juli.
I open an existing lyx file with a beamer-presentatin and generating a pdf-File
and this works fine.
No i startet to add some new slides in the existing file and generate a new
pdf-file. The old slides works well, the added slides look
for the rewrite of
the layout. Either use the Frame (Rahmen) layout or nest the contents.
Please consult Hilfe Spezielle Handbücher Beamer-Präsentationen for
some guidelines to use the new styles.

Try Insert Float Figure. (But I can't help with the exact German term.
Einfügen Gleitobjekt Abbildung. Then insert the graphic there (Einfügen
Grafik ...) You can also insert the graphic without the float if you do
not need the caption
