choosing my own spellchecker file brings up a box where I should enter

I would like to employ enother dictionary (british english) with
LyX. I have created the hash-file using buildhash.
However, I do not have access to the directory where the dictionary
are installed in ispell.
Normally, I use the -d option for this job.
