For the code you showed, you need to insert 5 Bib(la)TeX Bibliography insets, and add the options you want for each \printbibliography to the respective inset. This should work. If it doesn't, please send a complete minimal example file of the previous (working) way and your failing approach. -- Jürgen signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users

I can only report that I have had no problems using Karabiner-Elements with LyX on three Macs — an M1 air, an M1 Macbook Pro (both running Monterey), and a 2014 iMac running Big Sur. I use emacs keybindings, in case that’s relevant. -chris > On 19 Oct 2022, at 10:21 , Scott Kostyshak wrote: > > On Wed, Oct 19, 2022 at 08:13:24AM -0500, Christopher Menzel wrote: >> You don’t identify your OS. The fact that other lyx users are happy to respond to tikz question already shows it within reasonable perimeter of possible topics. If one does not like tikz question there is nothing easier than to ignore it and move to the next thread. > (Unlike, say, that bottom posting is preferable.) Good point, it maybe worth of repeating once in a while that our list netiquette nicely asks for a) bottom posting and b) not quoting irrelevant parts of the messages in the reply. Advantages of both points become very clear once there is some need to discuss some issue at depth. Alas, even some developers are lazy to respect others time and ignore it ;) What our netiquette indeed does not cover is kindness and I find it impossible to impose it from outside. What can we do as a community is to decide that we might not want to scare user newbies -- if you the only thing you have to say is RTFM, just leave the thread and move to another one. I must confess though that in cases where someone is repeatedly outsourcing his effort to *at least try* to find some solution on his own, the RTFM might be approprite input... In my view of course, but if there is some community sense that we should try to declare some positive approach in the netiquette, we are free to discuss it on this list and set our boundaries :) Pavel -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users

All related material for export including figures is first copied into temporary directory and only after that the export to e.g. pdf is done. Often you need to do some specific conversions (e.g. figure in .eps -> figure in .pdf) or final pdf assembly. Similarly with bibliography etc. If you do all this intermediate stuff in your original directory with .lyx/figures there will be lot of messy and orphaned files around. Re: Rebinding ESC to \
You don’t identify your OS. Pavel gives you the answer for Linux. If you are on MacOS, Karabiner-Elements can do that sort of remapping in a jiffy via a convenient graphical interface. On Windows it’s a bit more work. You can either edit the registry (instructions are easy to find), use the Microsoft Powertoys program, or use the much more powerful AutoHotkey scripting app. AutoHotkey requires you to create a text file with some quirky syntax but it’s a super powerful program that can do way more than keys remapping. Again, exact instructions are easy to google. -chris > On 19 Oct 2022, at 7:51 , Pavel Sanda wrote: > > On Tue, Oct 11, 2022 at 03:28:47PM +0200, Lorenzo Bertini wrote: >> Hi LyX users! >> >> I have a keyboard that doesn't have the function keys, so the ESC button >> also contains the \ key. I don't think so - Umlauts are shown without any problems (using UTF-8 encoding) - just having a complete bibliography plus the filtered ones... I managed to understand the changes concering inserting a biblography, changes towards the preamble and the change of using the options, however I have the following problem: When I insert my bibliograpy, I separate it by the type of entry (as a subbibliography). In the old form (with the biblatex entry set into a note), I had a LaTeX box with entries like these: \printbibliography[nottype=online,nottype=inarticle,nottype=report,nottype=book,nottype=inbook,heading=subbibliography,title={Aufsätze in Journals und Tagungsbänden}] \printbibliography[type=inbook,heading=subbibliography,title={Artikel aus Sammelbänden}] \printbibliography[type=book,heading=subbibliography,title={Bücher}] \printbibliography[type=report,heading=subbibliography,title={Studien}] \printbibliography[type=online,heading=subbibliography,title={Onlinequellen}] However with the change (bibliography just put in from the list menu), I have now the problem of getting one full, unseparated bibliography and I don't know how to get my "old" sorting. Because when I try to set the option of the printbibliography command in the option of the LyX-biblatex entry (obviously one entry corresponding to the former printbib-command), I get that section from my bib printed, however, I couldn't find out how to get the "main" section "Biblography" on top and into the toc - if I add a biblatex-bib on top, I get (of course) full bibliography before the "filtered" sections. If I try to work without the insert of the Bibliography from LyX and use LaTeX Code like this: \cleardoublepage \phantomsection \addcontentsline{toc}{chapter}{Literaturverzeichnis} \printbibheading \printbibliography[nottype=online,nottype=inarticle,nottype=report,nottype=book,nottype=inbook,heading=subbibliography,title={Aufsätze in Journals und Tagungsbänden}] \printbibliography[type=inbook,heading=subbibliography,title={Artikel aus Sammelbänden}] \printbibliography[type=book,heading=subbibliography,title={Bücher}] \printbibliography[type=report,heading=subbibliography,title={Studien}] \printbibliography[type=online,heading=subbibliography,title={Onlinequellen}] I get a problem with the appendix - LyX gives me an LaTeX error like this: LaTeX Error: Something's wrong --perhaps a missing \item ...on}{\numberline {A}Anhang}{21}{appendix.A} % Try typing to proceed. If that doesn't work, type X to quit. So my question is: How do I get the Bibliography-section (also in the toc), plus the bib splitted into the specified types? I tried to search the archives, but couldn't find anything matching. TIA Oliver -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users
