What happens: copy a string from konsole, by marking it with your mouse

If i remember correctly, as you open the emergency file, content of the

Good work!

Some suggestions:

* It should be possible to have TeXlive installed instead of teTex. It
should probably depend on tetex-bin | texlive-base-bin or something.

BTW, is it really necessary to depend on TeX at all? Can't this
package be used without TeX, if you have a DVI file? Maybe you
  should just recommend TeX instead?

* There are missing ending newlines in postinst and postrm.

* You should use dh_installtex instead of running texhash manually (I
think). Have you read the TeX policy in the tex-common package? Also
  see the dh_installtex(1) manpage.

* Do you really need to create those directories listed in
  debian/dirs?

* The configure script checks things by running kpsewhich and
tex. These are not listed in the Build-Depends. You should probably
try to hardwire these values, or, if you must, build-depend on TeX.

* There are lintian errors. Please fix them.

* The package is configured two times when using debuild (which uses
dpkg-buildpackage). The problem seems to be the patch target
dependency. You should probably move the dependency from the
config.status target to the build target (before build-stamp).

Alternately, use eqnarray if 'no ams' is selected, 'align' when ams

You can only have dots at the end for all (sub)section numbers or no
dots for all.

If you write in german there is the following rule
(see Duden, 1996, R3 and R4):

- always no dot behind the last number

There's a utility called qtconfig that hypothetically can be used to
change the font choice, but I'm not sure where you can get a Windows
binary for it (it's not included with LyX). You might have to compile it
yourself.

I'm not at all sure, but it looks as though on my system the default
choice for the menu bar font might be Tahoma. It might perhaps be worth
checking (through the Control Panel-Fonts applet) whether you have
Tahoma installed (you should, it's a standard Windows font) and whether
it looks like it should (faint chance that the font file was overwritten
or corrupted). I'm not positive, but I think that if Qt can't find the
default choice for the font it needs, it wanders off and grabs some
other font, quite possibly the first one that can't outrun it.

Eric

http://www.ece.tamu.edu/~tex/manual/node37.html

If a figure or table is too wide, you may try to rotate the figure or
table 90 degrees counter-clockwise to produce a landscape figure or
table. Figures can be rotated using the angle option in
\includegraphics. If the caption also needs to be rotated, use the
\rotcaption command instead of \caption command in the \figure
environment. The \rotcaption command requires \usepackage{rotating} to
be placed before the \begin{document} in the thesis.tex file. For example,

\begin{figure}
\includegraphics[angle=90]{file.ps}
\rotcaption{Figure Caption}
\label{fig}
\end{figure}

Tables and figures can be rotated using the \sideways environment. This
environments always rotates 90 degrees counter-clockwise.

There is a caption package also. I'm not sure this answered your
question if you meant something like:

T
h
i
s

i
s

a

c
a
p
t
i
o
n

Yes, if you meant rotate to landscape and maintain
prior caption orientation. A useful resource:

For instance the 1st page answers your copyright and trademark question.

About the align/eqnarray stuff? Use eqnarray as we did until 1.2 or

consider this a high priority.

\begin{figure}
\includegraphics[angle=90]{file.ps}
\rotcaption{Figure Caption}
\label{fig}
\end{figure}

A useful resource:

lyx language code

2006-05-16 Thread Wolfgang Engelmann

To guess the encoding of something (by the very nature of an
encoding this is heuristics), the command "file" (that uses
libmagic by Rullgard/Zoulas) is often used.
So run "file lit.bib" and "file yourfile.lyx" to see if the
encoding is the same in both files and if it is the same as in your
locale. To change the encoding, use "recode" or "iconv" (warning:
at least recode acts in-place, so perhaps make a backup first).

Hope that helps,

About the align/eqnarray stuff? Use eqnarray as we did until 1.2 or
such. If someone wants aling he could setup a key binding on
math-mutate align (or such). I'd also accept a new LFUN but don't
consider this a high priority.

Alternately, use eqnarray if 'no ams' is selected, 'align' when ams
is forced, and disable the function when AMS detection is 'auto'.

When I think about it, this might be not the worst option.

You can only have dots at the end for all (sub)section numbers or no
dots for all.

If you write in german there is the following rule
(see Duden, 1996, R3 and R4):

- always no dot behind the last number
- exception: when you use letters or roman numerals to number sections,
you have to end all, also the normally numbered section numbers with a
  dot

To make it short, use the document option "pointlessnumbers" or
"pointednumbers" when you have a koma-script document.

You don't need to adjust anything in this menu (there's nothing in this

There's a utility called qtconfig that hypothetically can be used to
change the font choice, but I'm not sure where you can get a Windows
binary for it (it's not included with LyX). You might have to compile it
yourself.

I'm not at all sure, but it looks as though on my system the default
choice for the menu bar font might be Tahoma. It might perhaps be worth
checking (through the Control Panel->Fonts applet) whether you have
Tahoma installed (you should, it's a standard Windows font) and whether
it looks like it should (faint chance that the font file was overwritten
or corrupted). I'm not positive, but I think that if Qt can't find the
default choice for the font it needs, it wanders off and grabs some
other font, quite possibly the first one that can't outrun it.
