I am using 1.4.2, and I tried hard to search for it, I just couldn't find
it.
I need it because when editing big equations, the stretch of the equation
went out of the screen and I could not see it. The LyX does not provide a
horizontal scroll bar so I could not see the out-of-window content at a

For 1.4.x, you can export -> latex and have a look at the source. For
1.5.x, there is a view-> source dialog in which you can see part or
all source code.

Hi all,
I am editing a Latex file which was originally from WinEdt.
As we know that in Latex raw source file, in the preamble part, there are a
lot of definitions of new commends, for instance, the following being one:
\newcommand{\kcal}{\mathcal{K}}
\newcommand{\acal}{\mathcal{A}}

I don't think so. See the attached.
Of course everything is possible with (La)TeX and some tricks.
I knew the possibility with the minipage, but

I probably noticed this behavior before, but it did not register long
enough to comment on. However, as I edit my presentation notes it comes up
over and over, so I thought to mention it here.

I've just had an idea. Today the search bar in the wiki let's you search
the wiki for pages containing one or more words. The search result is
displayed on a page which for instance looks like this:

Which would not explain why futzing with the environment variables cured
(or at least moved) the bug. Then again, perhaps I'm asking too much of
the bug as far as consistency goes.
This brings me back to my thesis that somewhere there is a buffer
overflow. How/why it would involve both the f

Yes it does look like that. However, I used the Miktex2.5 complete

Don't use this package because it can only bold single characters. LyX
has built in support for bold: use the commands
\boldsymbol\pi
to get a bold pi. Boldsymbol works also for complete formulas.

However, use MiKTeX's package manager to assure that you've installed
the correct package "tex4ht"
Try using the boldmath package. Just write \usepackage{bm} in your preamble,
and then, inside your math environment, write \bm{\pi} and you'll get the bold
pi character.

Hello,
I tried all fonts available on the documents settings but $\mathbf{\pi}$
doesn't show any visual difference from $\pi$, in other words, it
doesn't seem to be bold! This happens on DVI, PS and PDF exports too.
Do I have to choose a different font (I use palatino 12pt)?
Or maybe a particular P
