Hi all, Im writing my thesis right now in Lyx 1.44 for OSX. I have
gotten most of the formatting issues figured out( I am using the
standard report class with nothing fancy really) but there are a few
minor things that I need to work out.(I have no LaTex experience so the
easier the better...)

clean XPPro image - only installation of LyX chosing "for current user" right

Installing 1.44-3 official installer on either W2k or XPPro, and chosing the
option of Aspell being available for all users, plus some suitable dictionaries.
Then, under LyX, invocation of the spell checker (using F7 key) results in the
following error:

set to some strange size. This doesn't matter for screen presentations,
but printing the pdf output will result in small output.
This is annoying when sending lyx pdf output to others, who may be lacking
in technical skills
