This listserver does not add this kind of header. My email client (Kmail) just takes the list as reply address, but has also options for replying to the sender or to the list. So it's a question of knowing your mail client and looking to what it puts as address when using reply and checking if that corresponds to where you want your reply to go. LaTeX Warning: \KOMAScriptVersion is ... but ... was expected
Moin, I LyX-processed a scrlttr2-letter with success. But in the LaTeX- protocoll I found: LaTeX Warning: \KOMAScriptVersion is `2007/12/24 v2.98 KOMA-Script', but `2008/11/14 v3.01 KOMA-Script' was expected! You should not use classes, packages or files from different KOMA-Script versions. That is, I use the newest version of KOMA-Script (2008/11/14 v3.01), I can't find out what I missed to install or to configure. Any hint? After some weeks in which I posted a lot of messagges in the wrong way I choose to use the GMANE forum-like site (http://blog.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.general - you would need a subscription, of course). I don't know other users, but I find very difficoult (and definitely outfashioned) to manage traditional lists, instead of a forum/blog-like, web-based, fully-searchable, (etc.) site. I just subscribed the digest to know what's going on instead of checking the site, but I use the latter to reply, post, etc. Hope it helped

Roman/Arabic page numbering
Hello -- I'd like to have the table of contents, list of figures, and list of tables all be consecutively numbered with Roman numerals, then start section 1 of the text with arabic page numbering. I can't seem to get the roman numbering to continue to the lists of figures/tables without it then continuing in the rest of the document. A sample doc is attached. Re: Does the version management work under windows?
I think this argument is a little categorical. There are many frameworks that would do the version management. But choosing one for the user and recommending it by making it the default is making life for users easier. And well, the binary I downloaded was platform dependent, it was a .exe file. But the net benefit would be that enabling version management would be as easy as clicking into the file menu as opposed to making your way through the already impressive documentation. Just my 2 cents. cheers, Niko 2009/1/18 Pavel Sanda> Paul A. If you don't want to delete your old preferences, it may be enough to do the following: Go to "LyX Preferences > Editing > Shortcuts" and search char-forward-select in the list of commands. You will see that the shortcut entry is empty. Just add the key combination Shift + right arrow in that field. Do the same for char-backward-select. That should fix the problem. Jens
Re: Reconfigure with Ubuntu

Recently, I switched to Ubuntu Linux (8.04 -- Hardy Heron). LyX will not allow me to reconfigure. I even did a fresh install without my additions and it simply will not reconfigure. The exact message is: The system reconfiguration has failed. Default textclass is used but LyX may not be able to work properly. Please reconfigure again if needed. I've done a lot of reading and I'm not the only one who has run into this, but I have not seen how to solve it. Can someone please help me? First off, find where LyX has configure.py stashed. Best guess is /usr/share/lyx. Now open a terminal in your home directory and cd into the .lyx subdirectory. (If ~/.lyx does not exist, create it with mkdir and chmod it to 755, then cd into it.) From the .lyx subdirectory, run /usr/share/lyx/configure.py. Hopefully something in the output will help pin down what is going wrong. /Paul
