Thanks for the suggestion Wolfgang. I installed elyxer and attempted to use
it, but I had a few problems. After installing elyxer from the command line,
I typed the following to try and convert a lyx document to html:

Hi all,
Version 1.1.2 of eLyXer, the LyX to HTML converter, has just been
released. Despite it being a short point release, there have been many
incremental improvements in math formula display, math macro parsing
and LyX 2.0 features. Be sure to see the change log:

Hi,
After the installation of LyX 2.0.0Beta2 my command
\usepackage[style=authoryear-comp,natbib=true]{biblatex}
did not produce author and year anymore but wrote the title into the text
instead.
After I fiddled around quite a while (I suspected problems with my LyX 2.0

Dear lyx Users,
I'm a new lyx user running lyx 1.6.8 and MikTex 2.8 on Windows XP-SP3. I
tried exporting a lyx document in "HTML (MS WORD)" format and lyx froze
(meaning the cursor turned to an hourglass and stayed that way for more than
an hour before I finally killed the program).
I couldn't
