PDF appendix header and footer
Hi! I'm adding PDF appendix to one article without success. What I have been able to do so far: a) I have minipage and one pdf page as graphic. Headers and footers OK. b) I have all PDF pages nicely put each page on its own page No header or footers. I tried to scale pdf down, but no headers. c) I have all three. Import inside a minipage, have all pages stacked over each other on one page and headers and footers are showing beneath. Option a) is impossible as work to import each page separately would take too much time. Option b) looks bad. Option c) is unusable. The problem with that PDF is its margin. I'm unable to have fancyheaders and PDF file on same page. Now. How do I import pdf document as external material and have it look like it should be on these pages and doesn't look like someone printed also that and put it same pile with my article? Is this common problem or am I trying to do something stupid? best regards, Hannu Vuolasaho
Re: lyx 2.0.0 URL error "unable to open external file" on Ubuntu 11.10 . File path is correct!! Solved
AJR iprimus.com.au> writes: > Do you > knock off the leading forward slash off the file path when you use that > feature? Just seems counter intuitive to me. No, I don't; I include the initial slash. In fact, I just tested this with a new document (LyX 2.0.1 on Linux Mint 11), and it worked fine with "/home/paul/Desktop/whatever" as the path for the link. ("Fine" means, as before, that Evince would not open the link, but Acrobat Reader 9 did by forwarding it to Firefox.) The PDF you uploaded before worked for me, so I'm not convinced this is an anomaly in LyX. It's very strange, though. If it were just one PDF viewer involved at your end, I'd ask if the PDF viewer was current, but IIRC you said the link was broken in multiple viewers (?). Paul
char-right via LyX server and math insets
This occurs on a Fedora 15 system with LyX 2.0.3. Create a new file with some random text and a math inset with some random math in it. Position the cursor somewhere before the math inset. Using the right-arrow key the cursor can be moved into and then past the math inset. Using char-right repeatedly from the command minibuffer the cursor can similarly be moved into and past the math inset. Using the char-right command via the LyX server with echo 'LYXCMD:clientname:char-right:' >~/.lyx/lyxpipe.in however, the cursor always stops at the left side of the math inset. It works fine on ordinary text, but it cannot enter the math inset. When the command is run with the cursor already inside the math inset the cursor-point just pops out to the left of the math inset. The char-forward LFUN has the same behavior. It makes no difference if display mode for math is on or off. I have an application where I'd like to be able to use the LyX server to move the cursor inside a math inset if one is there. Any ideas what is happening and how to work around it?
