I have asked exactly the same question almost 2 years ago :) what I got: Inner= left and outer=right The rest is obvious. Margins in LyX
Hi, how are you? How do I properly set different page margins in LyX? For example, I have to have a specific top, bottom, left, and right margin for my Thesis and each margin is different. Also, what does inner and outer margin mean? Why isn't there an option to have left and right margins for Settings options? Thank-you. Re: Anyone convert LyX to ODT or docx using pandoc?
It returned an error message about expecting something-- neither Lyx nor Latex had any problem with the file. EK On 08/03/2012 08:57 PM, Jerry wrote: How did it fail? Re: making a Box: using floatrow package in place of default float
Hello Justin, I'm trying to use your preamble script to have similar caption to the one in the example but I get errors, I copied the script as is. I get these errors: LaTeX Error: Missing \begin{document) desc: \ ifundefined{fs boxed}{}% do nothing if not in use You're in trouble here. Try typingto proceed. If that doesn't work, type X to quit. LaTeX Error: Missing \begin{document) desc: \newcommand\floatc simplerule[2]{\flushleft{\ fs cfon... You can't use:'macro parameter character #' in horizontal mode desc: ...erule[2]{\flushleft{\ fs cfont # 1 #2}} Sorry, but I'm not programmed to handle this case; I'll just pretend that you didn't ask for it. If you're in the wrong mode, you might be able to return to the right one by typing `I}' or `I$' or `I\par'. Thanks, Alan. No offense regarding Emacs. I have no experience with it. I just know I love Vim. -;) I'll give your suggestion a try. As a result of suggestions here regarding the lyx > xhtml > LO > doc [or rtf] route, I've installed LO and didn't have good luck on the first try with it either. I'll give your suggestion a try on it, too. -- Eric Weir eew...@bellsouth.net "Any assurance economists pretend to with regard to cause and effect is merely a pose." - Emanuel Derman
