Dear all, I downloaded version 2.07 of Lyx into Windows 8.1. The Beamer Layout in the Document Settings is marked as unavailable. Is there any way to overcome this problem without leaving windows 8? Thank you. Misha Salganik

I strongly encourage you to turn the SVG into a PS, EPS, or PDF file. I think somewhere is the documentation is states that for SVG to correctly work within the document is requires inkscape. Not at all a problem, inkscape is one of the best vector editors out there but it is required as Guenter

This typically indicates that the Beamer LaTeX package is either not installed or not properly on the LaTeX search path. Have you installed it under MiKTeX (assuming that's what you are using)?
