When trying to view the pdf file, lyx suggested to change the encoding to utf8. I did, and the file compiles just fine. BTW, I notice that in the endocing drop-down list there are utf8 and UTF8 (not to mention utf8-plain and utf8x). Does anyone know what the differences between them are? On Wed,
