Re: Wrong order of footnote numbers in tables with afterpage

Hello, I have several multi-page tables in my document. With the package afterpage it is convenient to force them to always begin on a new page which works well. I also want to use footnotes in those tables - I am aware that this is fragile - but this also works as expected. There is one

Paste text with italics

Hello, is there a way to paste text (from a source such as LibreOffice) into LyX and keeping the words in italics emphasized? If not, could such an option be implemented? Thanks. -- lyx-users mailing list lyx-users@lists.lyx.org http://lists.lyx.org/mailman/listinfo/lyx-users

As Scott pointed out, right now it's not possible on a direct way, but you can use LibreOffice's own tools to "tag" text in italic and then use the "paste as LaTeX" option on LyX. It goes like this: - On Writer, make a copy of the document (don't work on the original!) - Open the search and

Okay, as usual, I should have taken some more time before sending the mail. I have now understood the required package fontspec is used by LyX on choosing the option "Use non-TeX fonts". In this case, however, I can no longer use URW Garamond but "Garamond" which doesn't look as good and also

I have a German document that I have always compiled with (the default) pdflatex. Now I want to suppress bad ligatures with the package selnolig that only works with LuaTeX. So I add \usepackage[ngerman]{selnolig} to my preamble, click on view with LuaTeX and get an error "TeX capacity exceeded,

Hi, the easiest way for me to insert German single quotation marks was to copy and paste them from Wikipedia or even previous paragraphs from my text into LyX: ‚ ‘ Now I see there is also the key binding Alt+". Both methods lead to the same characters both in the LyX work area and in the output;

As you indicated, I have tried to give a new header with \fancyhead[LE]{} \fancyhead[RO]{} just before the index and now it works! Thank you for this hint. In all other places, markboth served me well. I also noticed that the title or caption of the index looks slightly different than, say, the

Many thanks for your reply, Herbert. Before I wrote \renewcommand{\ps@plain}{\pagestyle{fancy}} in the preamble, the first page of the index gave the page number on the bottom middle, as opposed to all other chapter starts on the bottom right. The index seems to grab some other page styles

I have almost finished my book and have now begun to add an index. It works fine, so far, but the page layout of the index is not perfect. I use fancyhdr and have added (thanks to the LyX Wiki) \renewcommand{\ps@plain}{\pagestyle{fancy}} in the preamble. Now the first page of the index looks like

Hello, I have a book in LyX that I have almost finished. Now I want to add an index of persons. I'd imagine a workflow like this: - Next to the name Arthur Smith I create an index entry box 'Smith, Arthur'. - I copy the name and the box. - Using advanced find and replace I paste the text and box
