Re: Lyx 1.3.6 and Debian Sarge

2005-07-24 Thread Gerhard Lindel

You could try to apply
http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/l/lyx/lyx_1.3.4-2.diff.gz to your
unpacked source, chmod +x debian/rules, add a changelog entry with updated
version number in debian/changelog and then build .deb packages with

fakeroot debian/rules binary

If you do that and have a clean sarge install (I don't have one, otherwise I
would do it), please put the created .debs on
ftp.devel.lyx.org/pub/incoming. If you have any questions, pleae ask. If
you can wait a bit I can also send you an adapted patch for 1.3.6.

Georg

I tried to build a deb-package. No succees. I followed the instructions
in F. Ronneburg:

Debian Anwenderhandbuch (manual).
After dh_make I tried to adapt the files in debian/.
With
./configure --with-frontend=qt --with-qt-dir=/usr/share/qt3
in rules it is possible to build a deb with dpkg-buildpackage.
But one cannot install this package.
The same with a package which is build with alien from a rpm.
Sorry, but I do not know very much about building packages an compilling.
If someone knows where to find or how to build a lyx-1.3.6.deb for Sarge
please

post it.
Thanks for your answers.

I have to put a pdf-file to a BSCW-server.
The way with font (Schrift) default produces nearly unreadable text.

The text is readable.
But the german ß (scharf s) is replaced by SS.
Any idea to produce a good readable text in pdf without this problem?

Yes, it seems like prettyref has been excluded from teTeX 2 (some packages
have been excluded due to licensing issues).

Where do I find this package exactly and how do I install it?

 http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/supported/prettyref/

run latex on prettyref.ins (actual package) and prettyref.dtx
(documentation) and install the generated prettyref.sty somewhere under
 /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/
You have to run texhash as root in a console after that.

Please check the page in question. You might need to peplace the \vref

Would you be so kind helping me once more?

Where do I find this package exactly and how do I install it?
I searched on www.ctan.org and on Dante, but I only found
prettyrev not prettyrev.sty.
Best wishes
Gerhard

Yes, it seems like prettyref has been excluded from teTeX 2 (some packages
have been excluded due to licensing issues).

Where do I find this package exactly and how do I install it?

 http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/supported/prettyref/

run latex on prettyref.ins (actual package) and prettyref.dtx
(documentation) and install the generated prettyref.sty somewhere under
 /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/
You have to run texhash as root in a console after that.

 HTH,
 Juergen.
Dear Jürgen,
Thank you for helping me!!
I am sorry, but the next trial ended with:
Package varioref Error: \vref at page boundary 43-45 (may loop).
Abschnitt \vref{sec:crossref}
).Einen Verweis fügen sie wie gewohnt
Please check the page in question. You might need to peplace the \vref
or \vpageref by a normal \(page)ref to stop LaTeX running forever.

I cannot find varioref or \vref on my system.
Would you be so kind helping me once more?
Gerhard

Spell-checker

2002-11-19 Thread Gerhard Lindel
Hi all,
thanks for helping me.
I have got annother question: I am writing an article and the
spell-checker worked well , but only till
I made the first foot-note. If I want to start the spell-checker from
the beginning of the document,
Lyx will brake down at once. When I put the cursor behind the foot-note
and start the spell-checker
it works !
Is this problem known? Or have I got wrong preferences? (Lyx 1.2.0 on
Suse 8.1)
