However i need that the of theorem, lemma etc appears is spanish when i export the file to pdf. On Lyx editor they appear in spanish, but when i want to watch by view pdf they appear in english. This has been discussed on the list before. Recently, I think. Try searching for it. I have a doubt. When i chose Theorems (AMS) i can chose Theorems (by section) OR Theorems (by chapter) but i can not chose both. Why? This controls when the counters are reset. Resetting by section will already reset at the chapter, since the chapter change resets the section counter. rh

However, i have problems when i want to work with cross-references. The problem is that every time i define a *description* for theorem, for example, the theorem defined gets the cross-refence of the chapter, section or subsecction etc, wherever place i have defined it. The problem is that you can't cross reference a description environment. LyX has native support for lemmas, etc. In 1.5.x, you can use the AMS classes, or include the theorem definitions in your own layout. But it's all a lot easier in 1.6.x, where you can use the theorem modules with any class you like. So I'd upgrade to 1.6.2 and use that. rh

Cross-References doubts
Hi Friends of Lyx Sometimes i need to define lemma, proposition, theorem or simply some definitions. I think it is very easy to use them cos i can set by *description* or *list*. However, i have problems when i want to work with cross-references. The problem is that every time i define a *description* for theorem, for example, the theorem defined gets the cross-refence of the chapter, section or subsecction etc, wherever place i have defined it. I known that i have to insert a label firts, but it only is useful when i am writting a thesis, guide etc. i would like to insert my own cross-reference, and when i have to insert my defined refence it appears on the pdf text I am working with lyx 1.5.6. Any advice to solve the problem? if i have to install any package, how do i have to install the package in Lyx? Thanks in advance Adrián
