that I've tested a couple of my 2.0 long-ish
beamer slides and the PDF output when compiled with 2.1 is bit for bit
identical with 2.0 PDF. At least here the conversions seem to happen
as expected.

produces is much brighter than the red color I get by using

are there known issues transferring presentations from 2.06 to 2.6.1beta0?
If so, which are they? Because I a seem to have some and if they are
known I don't need to trace them down to a minimal example and can just
work on them with 2.0.6 for the time being.

I'm finding the ui confusing. I start off with a frame environment and put in
a
title. I'd now expect to hit ret to put text into the frame. ret is disabled.
If I move over a space with left ->, now I'm outside title and hit
