tex2lyx does not know what verbatim is and thinks that the $ starts an
equation. After that, it is impossible to recover.

are left untouched, the resulting lyx file is unreadable. Tweaking a
little more I can see that if I leave only the itemize environment,

Well, removing the listing removes the error on line 1726, but still
LyX crashes with the following error:
