Hey there! I'd like to know how can I substitute the english words that Lyx automatically put on my dvi or pdf files (like Contents, October 16, 2005 and so forth...) by another words at the same meaning but in different tongues, once I write the most docs on portuguese or spanish -- and

I the menue Layout-Document-Language you can change this. I did it already before, but the dvi and pdf is using english yet. :( Please try with your Lyx and see if it is true for you also, then give me the response, and thanks a lot in advance! :) -- Abraços!

Please try with your Lyx and see if it is true for you also, then give me the response, and thanks a lot in advance! What you in fact need to do is ensure that any of the items that are in the wrong language. Select everything that needs to be in Portueguese and go to Edit Text Style.

I did it already before, but the dvi and pdf is using english yet. :( Do you have correct install of babel package of LaTeX? At View - LaTeX Log, you should find lines such as (/usr/local/share/texmf-dist/tex/generic/babel/babel.sty Package: babel 2004/11/20 v3.8d The Babel package

The 'Layout-Document-Language' has no effect to change the automatic names at my Lyx. Maybe the problem is at my application. I'm using Windows Lyx. But I have it installed in Linux platform also, and I'll try to do that way on it now. Please wait a moment, I'll try and not be long at the
