Dear Richard, I do not know a lot of lyx, sorry. Somebody helped me to define pagestyle, but in the preamble of the document. If I am not wrong, it is defined before the TOC, so applied for the whole document. Then I do not know who to define a different page style before the TOC and after

Hi, I have a big Latex/LyX document with a table of contents. I used fancyhdr so now in every page it appers, the chapter's name of the section's number. But in the case of the table of contents it appears Index. This is ok for me. The only problem is that after the last page of the TOC there is

I'm guessing the empty page is due to the first chapter's starting on an odd page, so that LaTeX needs to insert a page to get to an odd page. I'd suggest redefining your page style for the TOC. You've presumably already done that once---defined \lhead and the rest. Just define these right
