Hi,

I generally use the template file for beamer presentation. Any suggestions
on how to display only the current section and subsection instead of the
same highlighted in the TOC ??

I'm not positive what you mean, but if what you want is to have the PDF 
file open with the bookmarks tab on the left collapsed, click Document  
Settings  PDF Properties, turn on hyperref support, and add 
pdfpagemode=None under additional options. Alternatively, you can put 
\hypersetup{pdfpagemode=None} in the document preamble.  (Beamer 
automatically loads Hyperref.)
