Re: compiling LyX for maemo (arm architecture)
Sorry about the late reply. I was using the included library. When I try the --without-included-boost flag, it says it can't find it, even though it's installed. Do I need to put something in my path so it sees the native version? I never saw this error, actually. Is this with included boost library, or a system one? JMarc

compiling LyX for maemo (arm architecture)
I don't know the first thing about compiling on OS 2008 (Maemo) for Nokia internet tablets. The architecture is armel - do I need to put any special flags in while compiling? I have a dev environment set up and I think I have all the dependencies (QT libs, etc) I have an error as described here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=30876 Can anyone figure out what's going on, or if there is an arm option I can pass in? I couldn't find anything about that in there. What drives me crazy is that there are all these dead ends about compiling LyX for Maemo but no actual downloads. Any help at all would be useful. Thanks!!

If not, I would like to get some infos about camus lyx and Gtk, since this nice gadget uses Hildon, and it should camus be easier to adapt some gtk code to it than trying to get Qt camus (or Xform) working on it! By the way, I didn't find something camus about Lyx on a Zaurus or another Qtopia gadget ... P.S. I don't camus think about running TeX on such a tiny rhing ! Just the editor camus part of Lyx would make me happy ! thanks Making LyX work on such a system would be very funny indeed (and on my palm TX, which can run gpe or opie?). I suspect that there would be a need to write a specific frontend (if only to make dialogs smaller). I am not sure someone is ready to spend the time required for this... JMarc
