tables larger that margins

2001-06-06 Thread Giorgio Corani

hi!
I need to put in my documents some tables, which are larger that the
paper's margin.
Lyx's default policy is, as far as I know, to keep the table aligned
with the left margin, whereas the very right part of table goes outside
the right margin:

---
||
||--- right margin
||
||
|-
||
||---my table (entirely
contained in the paper, although ouf of margins)
||

I would know if it's possible to put the large table in a justified
way, going out of left and right margin.
thanks, Giorgio

Well this is done in the upcoming 1.2.0 version and should be also done
in the 1.1.6 version. But why do you need this on screen?

Dear Juergen, I don't care about how it looks on screen, but in the
resulting Postscript.
At the moment, the table looks as described in the Postscript :(
thanks, Giorgio

put the cursor on the left of the table. than
layout-paragraph-extra-extra alignment

and fil lany negative length, for example -2cm
don't worry, that this is shown on lyx screen as
a positive value, on postscript or dvi it's ok.
