Italics (\emph{}) in section headings in beamer

Hi I would like to use \emph{} in a section heading in beamer, but it gives me an Undefined conmtrol sequence error. Any ideaas how to manage that I can use italics in a sewction header in beamer? Thanks Rainer

I have tried the .bst you suggested and it does work but deviates from APA style in a number of places. I wonder if there is someone on the list who could help me modify the .bst? Books with an addition are formatted as Catania, C. A. (1998). Learning. Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY: Sloan Publishing, 4

Hello, I followed the instructions posted here: http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/Tables#toc10 for adding a caption to a longtable that runs over several pages. The problem is that an entry shows up in the List of Tables for each page of the table. Solutions I tried: 1) the table is in an appendix, but
