Hallo, I am working with a co author on a lyx file. This file is located
in a dropbox folder. Everything worked out fine for the last month. But
recently, although I only changed thing in the text (nothing
substantial) my co author is unable to open the lyx file. He receives an

it's not a good idea to build in source tree.
You should make a separate build

I am able to reproduce this. I haven't used Adobe's Linux viewer for

It's there somewhere. you just have to dig around and look for it. I have had
the same problem many times on my Mac. lyx does not crash nicely on the mac at
least. While I can't see it in recent documents etc. I have always found it.
