Hallo, I am working with a co author on a lyx file. This file is located in a dropbox folder. Everything worked out fine for the last month. But recently, although I only changed thing in the text (nothing substantial) my co author is unable to open the lyx file. He receives an error message:

You know how it goes: Final vital draft nears completion, critical program crashes. But in this case LyX crashed after an excellent run -- unlike my earlier experiences. Rebooting LyX, last copy of essay not shown in "File: Open Recent." It was recovered from desktop, where it was stored.

Gordon, It's there somewhere. you just have to dig around and look for it. I have had the same problem many times on my Mac. lyx does not crash nicely on the mac at least. While I can't see it in recent documents etc. I have always found it. It's a pain - I just shrug my shoulders now and
