But you can start english language LyX like this, from the command line: LANG=C lyx or export LANG=C lyx Then the menu will say "Tools" and you can make a permanent change. I am not sure how this will work if on windows. Perhaps: set LANG=C lyx Helge Hafting

Language setting problem
Dear Lyx Users, I am a new LYX users. When I install LyX in my office computer, it comes in local language (all menu bars and its options) which I can't understand. Could you please help me to change the language in English? Thanks, Shyam Sweden
