All Information for this Project at this time are in German Feedback are welcome... uwe Good to hear. Would be nice to have a similar CD for Linux also. Well, lyx and latex is packaged for several linux distributions already. On debian: apt-get install lyx-qt texlive (As an alternative, specify tetex packages instead of texlive) Other distributions have similiar ways, although they may require manual downloading or inserting a distribution CD first. Windows does not have a convenient package system, so an install CD for windows is a nice thing to have. Helge Hafting

Have you added a link to your project from the lyx wiki? http://wiki.lyx.org I think there is at least a page about Live CDs, from which you should add a link to your CD. (Unfortunately the server seems busy at the moment so I can't find the page for you. Let me know if you need help) regards /Christian PS. You are very welcome to create pages in the lyx wiki related to your project if you wish. -- Christian Ridderström, +46-8-768 39 44 http://www.md.kth.se/~chr

Feedback are welcome... We currently have all programs you listed on your project page bundled in our installer: http://wiki.lyx.org/Windows/LyXWinInstaller The installer installs all needed programs and configures MiKTeX automatically to use it for LyX. Note: - LyX 1.4.3 doesn't require MinSYS because we converted all shell-scripts to Python. All needed Python files are bundled with the installer. - LyX 1.4.x doesn't require Perl because the old TeX-LyX converter reLyX that was written in Perl has been rewritten as tex2lyx in Python. We haven't yet burned the installer on a CD, because nobody asked for this. Download the installer and test it out. If you like it, burn it on your CD. Btw. the name of the thing is LyX not Lyx ;-) regards Uwe
