Yes, that's it! Thank you so much. http://code.google.com/p/lytex/ with 1.6.3 version of LyX is the first portable LyX I tried, that'r running without any problems (till now :-)). The others http://sourceforge.net/projects/lyxportable/ and http://wiki.lyx.org/Windows/PortableInstallation did not

Well, one more question: I tried to update this LyTeX on the USB-stick with the setup.exe-file. Neither the Lyx-update nore the TeXLive-update is working: - the new Lyx.file cannot be unzipped - the TeX Live Manager 2008 (!) seems to be old and cannot find a server. Does anyone knows, if there
