I think how I would solve this problem
1) have a ram image that is TSDOS centric
2) have a ram image that is DVI centric
3)

I must have missed this one in the manual. Are you saying that REX can
copy individual files between banks? Fascinating.

I think how I would solve this problem
1) have a ram image that is TSDOS centric
2) have a ram image that is DVI centric
3) switch between the ram images
4) use the file access function of REX to transfer files between ram images.

Interesting question, are there any uniquely DVI DOS applications? Or were
they simply unique commercial packages e.g payroll, stock control etc, that
were never released widely?
The TPDD drive seems to be more useful with its portability and plays to the
strength of the Model T in its day.

Are there any applications?

Maybe rexmgr just needs to be added to the list of things you have to
temporarily pack away like floppy or ts-dos, while dvidos is installed.
Maybe one of those old utils could be hacked a little to do that.
Another idea, I have not tried, but it seems that the ts-dos ram
There are programs in the old m100sig archive that describe themselves as
being written to deal with exactly that need, that dvidos and floppy or
other tpdd can't coexist at the same time, so they wrote utilities to
switch between them without wiping and installing.

Saw those, one of them is missing the RAM expansion part. I've actually
already made an offer on the relatively complete one for about 1/5 of what
they're asking. We'll see what happens.

Josh,
Yes. This morning I was able to have TS-DOS loaded/running with DVI. REXMGR
must be unloaded. Mad TS-DOS the active ROM and start the DVI process. But,
don't try using TS-DOS from SCREEN1. It gets messing. Much in the same as
SuperROM does.

Is it necessary to uninstall TS-DOS to get DVI DOS to load? Can't say
we tried
I posted a similar experience last year when i got mine with tsdos and dvi
trying to copy files from my android mcomm drive to dvi disks is frustrating

Hey all,
I'm planning to be at VCF East this year -- May 3 through 5 in NJ. Is
anyone else going to be at VCF East this year? Exhibit regs are now
open and I was thinking about collaborating on an M100 exhibit. I have
100,102, 200, WP-2, and PC-8201A to show. If anyone else is gonna be
there we

Randy and I attempted to get his DVI booted at Tandy ASM last year,
and we had to uninstall
Steve. that seems to be the case. Takes a hard boot to go from one to the
other. Maybe the gang can get you a DVI for your birthday. I only have the one.

Greg, I don't have a DVI, so I have never attempted this. DVI probably
wipes out the hooks used by REX. Not sure it will work or not.

Having a blast with Rex, but a bit of difficulty getting things working with
the DVI. Is it a one-or-the-other thing or is there a special sequence of
steps, like booting the DVI already is, to get it all to work?
