I have never seen that writeup before but thanks to whoever took the time to document the Android version. The Windows version has better documentation. But to answer your question about which tablet. Any that has an os greater that 4.4 and supports USB otg. I think 4.2 works also but I have never tested it. For Linux you best bet is LaddieAlpha.
